Not with a bang ...

Cole's at his first flag football practice. I am not there, however, because his dad and stepmom are and the stepmom always seems a little nervous (?) around me. I don't know. It's a little tense. So, I let his dad take him and my mom and I planted tomatoes.

As soon as he gets home the fam are heading out to the humane society to look at dogs. *yikes* I never thought I'd have a dog. Never. Yet, here we are. We're looking for something small. Preferably already house trained. I think my mom keeps hoping that it'll be a cat. Heh. I had to warn the kids that just because we're looking doesn't mean that there will be one that we're ready to get. On one hand they seem to understand that. On the other hand I'm sure they'll be disappointed if we come home without one today.

I'll have to keep y'all updated on the dog situation. :)

So it goes.

It's very windy right now. Gale force winds. It's crazy. And very loud.

I can do whatever I want.

We've filled out all the paperwork to adopt a dog. We'll be picking her up on Tuesday after she gets her last round of shots. She's small. Not sure what breed, although the shelter seemed to think that she had some chihuahua in her, but I don't really see it other than in her size.

Thus far, we're seriously considering the name Starbuck. I can call her Starbuck and anyone who doesn't like that can call her Star.

There you have it. We've already gone out and bought some goodies for her. :) I'll post pictures once she's here!
