I feel like talking about my family tonight.
My youngest sister, Heather, likes to make cakes. Not just cakes, but CAKES! The ones where you have to buy fancy pans and special coloring for the frosting. She's made a couple of Care Bear cakes for my niece which turned out really awesomely. She decided that she's going to make a Dora the Explorer cake for Hailey's birthday (which isn't until July!) and wanted to do the test run today (since she had no other plans). I ate so damn much frosting this morning that I didn't think I was even going to be able to look at frosting for at least a month. However, I had a piece of cake earlier and thought it was delicious. Even though it looked a little weird. Oh, did I forget to mention that the frosting didn't quite do what it was supposed to do? Yeah, it was kinda runny and wouldn't form the way it was supposed to. It still tasted damn good. It just looked weird.

Is it the sign of a good sister that I only told her twice that it looked a little odd? Probably not since I also told her she was way grumpy today and was starting to scare me. At one point she promisd not to use her big voice at me if I would help her pour the frosting into the pastry bag. I declined. :)

I think my other sister, Amber, has dropped off the face of the planet. Ever since she got married I haven't seen her all that much. However, I did borrow some of her husband's music to add to my iPod. Which reminds me, I should probably add those. I'm sure he'll want them back sometime soon. Yes, I'm bad at returning things. [livejournal.com profile] jenahville's nodding right now. It's not that I don't return them, I just take a really long time getting them back.

I watched the BSG miniseries this afternoon. I've been wanting to watch my DVDs and just hadn't found the time/been in the right place mentally/whatever since Christmas. However, it has now begun! Watching it kinda made me want to make icons. Lots and lots of icons. And maybe a new layout at any and/or all of my various sites. Except this one because I love my John Sheppard! Truthfully, though, I think I'd rather put up a Firefly layout at Soulswallo. That damn show just makes me so happy. Still, a couple of BSG layouts would be fun.

Oh, and I pretty much loved all of Sci-Fi Friday. I did end up watching SG-1 at 11. Ben Browder is excessively yummy. Plus, did you see the rack on Sam? Damn, that girl's got a body.
Out!
