Heather made me go shopping today. Yes, made me. She's been dying to buy a Coach purse and she decided that today was the day. So, we went to Macy's. This story is not so much about the purchase of the purse (which she got for a song, thank you very much), but more about me trying on ridiculous hats that I thought would look good on me in Hawaii. I was sadly mistaken about them looking good. Wait. This story isn't about hats. This story is about me looking for shoes. Backstory, short and sweet: The shoes I have now are grey and blue Sketchers which I bought before Cole was born. That means I've had them for 6+ years. It's time for something new. /backstory. So, we wander through the shoes for a few minutes and as we're getting ready to leave Heather points out that they have Coach shoes. Now, I'm not all about the brand. In fact, I could care less about the brand ... although I would like to own a pair of Nikes, for no other reason than they're Nikes (stupid reason, I know. I've been reading way too many Anita Blake books). Yet those autumn colored Coach tennis shoes wanted me to buy them. They would look so, so good with my khaki pants. So good. Everybody would be hellaciously jealous. Heather pointed out (after I found out that they didn't have my size ... damn my small feet) that they were the same color as [livejournal.com profile] malkovich03's purse. I still want them. Golds and creams and tans and oranges ... oh, my! So, to answer your voice mail, Mal, I'm pretty sure they're exactly like your purse. And now I'm sorry for ever mocking it. Because I want those shoes.

I do believe it's time to toddle off and watch another ep or two of VM before bed. I'm up to 15 ... can we say "drunk, pantless Logan"? Yum.
