I have no idea where the day went. In one moment it was early morning and I was considering journalling and all of a sudden it's 6-ish and I'm home from work. Geez! My feet are cold, btw, and I think I should put my slippers on.
I went to Barnes and Noble at lunch today. I wasn't planning on buying anything, but I somehow justified buying nearly $100 worth of children's books by telling myelf it was for research. Can we say "tax write-off"? Yeah. So, I bought this gorgeous picture book called Imagine a day, a bunch of activity books for Cole and a couple of tween books. Yes, I said "tween". As in - in between a kid and a teen. My plan is to become inspired and shit. Except that I already am inspired. I just wanted an excuse to buy kid's books. *g* I'm bad.
I also got most of the books and dvds I ordered from Amazon the other day. This includes, but is not limited to, Battlestar Galactica, Frailty, Stir of Echoes and Bram Stoker's Dracula. I also got a bunch of books, mostly in the paranormal romance vein. Heh. Vein. That's funny because there are several vampire books in there. In a nutshell, I'm going to be chock full of movie and book goodness for the next couple weeks. This is in between the mass quantities of writing I plan on indulging in.
I'm getting my hair done tomorrow. Yay! I think it's going to be all brown. All.brown. That'll be a first.
Funny Cole story!
Yesterday Cole was playing Halo 2 on the X-Box. By himself. Except that he was playing the two player game. By himself. He would play one controller, put it down and play the next. By himself. It was so funny. Or possibly scary. You decide.
I'm having an impromptu movie fest tomorrow.
jenahna and her son will be cruising by.
ebarnon will make an appearance. All other San Jose-ites are invited as well. And
tinamishi. You know, if you can make it down from Colorado. Heh. So, well, see you here. Right? Right? Guys? Anybody?
I have to go find my slippers.
