Work is interfering with my writing time today. That's very annoying. Very. Also, this keyboard (located in the swank downtown office I'm hanging in today) is somehow different from my keyboard (both at home and at my real desk). Weird. For example, I think I just printed this screen. Why? Oh, no reason. I just thought it would be amusing to print it ... or, possibly, my finger slipped. Hey! Shaddup!

Oh ... I'd best tell this story before [livejournal.com profile] malkovich03 spills the beans ... I got lost on my way to this office. Not just lost ... we're talking my-plane-cracked-open-and-now-I've-been-reduced-to-living-off-the-fruit-of-the-land lost. Yeah, it was bad. I just hope I don't run into any polar bears. That would freak me out. Anyway. I had to call Mal and make her give me play by play directions to this extremely centrally located building. I'm an idiot. I still maintain that it was the directions mapquest provided. They must somehow be at fault. There's no way it could have been me making a wrong turn. No siree!

The point of all this? you ask. Well, I have so far read the last paragraph I wrote in my story roughly 15 times. Every time I think I have an idea and I pick up my pen the stupid phone rings. This is not the way things are supposed to work out. Grr. However, my story freaking rocks. Yes! Well, the good news is that even if I don't get much writing done today I still have the next two days to make up for it. Oh, blessed, blessed days off.

In totally random other news ...
Firefly - *drool, drool* I watched Out of Gas last night. That's the one where Mal gets shot and the engine stops working and he's going to die except he doesn't. Oh, and he remembers how each of the crew came to work on Serenity. Gorgeous episode. Simply gorgeous. I also watched Bushwhacked - Reavers, 'nuff said. Yeah, I was in the mood for something creepy and dark. Can somebody go over it one more time with me -- why was this show cancelled?

Oh, and if anybody wants to know what I'm doing today (besides trying to write), well, I'll tell you. I'm running the approval line which provides approvals for deposits and stuff that are over the limits of the peeps at the branches. The cool thing is that I'm not at the branch today. Yay! The weird part about this is that I'll go for an hour without having a single call and then I'll get three or four right on top of each other. Usually all at the same time. It gets a little difficult to answer everything all at once. Oh, the other person who's helping me out today just got here. Now we'll split the calls. Except that I haven't had one in half an hour. Figures.

Okay, enough of this work babble. It's time I write.
