Vacation is a state of mind

I'm on a mini-vaca! Woot! I have tomorrow off (Cole's school closes at noon ... what the hell good does that do me? I so obviously need someone to watch my child from 7:30 to noon. Yep ... no, wait. I actually need someone to watch my son from 7:30 until WHENEVER I GET OFF WORK!). Unfortunately, drama at Heather's work finds me taking Hailey to her daycare tomorrow. In other words, I'll be up just as early as I normally am. I also have to take my car in for a little, bitty problem with the brakes spontaneously failing. Not my brakes. But I really think I should get the recall taken care of before they actually do fail. Got it?

And just because I haven't mentioned it about a thousand and three times (even if it was only in my head!) ... Cole starts school on Monday! Cole.Starts.School.On.Monday. Arrgh! When did he get big enough to start school? I'm in denial. He's just a little boy. He's ... arrgh! No. If I just close my eyes maybe it won't be true. Who am I kidding? He's going to grow up whether I'm ready for it or not. It really is amazing how quickly time flies. Wasn't he just a baby the other day? Oh, wait. He was throwing up in the middle of my bed the other day. Yuck.
