Random, weird and funny ...
1. Cole lost one of his bottom teeth last week (as I reported at the time) and now the same tooth on the other side is loose. And when I say loose, I mean barely hanging on by a thread. So what does my darling boy do this morning? He starts crying because he "can't eat"! He doesn't like the way the tooth moves inside his mouth when he chews. ?!?!?! Okay. I, being the nice and caring mom that I am, offered to pull it out for him. That made him cry harder. The really funny thing is the way he presented the entire situation to me ...
Me *coming in from the garage* - What's wrong?
Cole *sitting on the floor in the middle of the kitchen* - I'm afraid of the eggs.
Me *trying not to laugh* - Why would you be afraid of the eggs?
Cole - I'm afraid my tooth will fall out while I'm chewing.
Me - Oh. Well, can you chew on the other side?
Cole - It doesn't help. I can still feel the tooth moving.
Me - Umm, okay. Do you want some applesauce or something?
Cole - Yes.
Me - You know, you can practically drink this with a straw.
Cole - I still can't eat. I can feel it moving.
Me - I honestly don't know what to say to that.
I'm pretty sure my sweet boy didn't eat. We'll see if he makes it through the day.
I'm tired today. And I have all sorts of things going on this weekend. I guess I'll have to squeeze in a nap whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Time to work.
