Between last night and this afternoon I had the strangest Twitter conversation. The strangest. It started between author Jodi Redford and I and ended up as a 5+ way convo between several authors and myself. What was it about? Mainly, puffer fish and all the sex that they don't have. O.o Yes, you read that correctly.

Somehow in the middle of all that I managed to finish reading Maximum Witch by Jodi Redford. This book is the whole reason the puffer fish conversation started and when I reviewed it this morning I wrote "Jodi Redford writes the best non-puffer fish sex I've read all week." Well, you can see that quote in all it's glory on Jodi's website now. There was even talk of glittery gif puffer fish to accent it.

Don't be jealous that you didn't think up a quote that spaztastic first. Some of us are just gifted in ways that defy explanation.

It probably goes without saying that I had a lot of coffee today (hence the continuation of the puffer fish convo) but that entire tweet stream is motherfucking gold, people. If you're not following me and everyone I follow on Twitter, you're totally missing out. Totally.

Anyway. I have a bunch of book stuff to catch up on. Are you ready to rumble?!?
Book #312 - Her Guardian Angel (Her Angel #4) by Felicity Heaton - Sexy angels and the women they worship. Niiiiice.
Book #313 - Maximum Witch (That Old Black Magic #3) by Jodi Redford - There is no puffer fish or sea horse sex in this book. But that shark shifter is mighty tasty!
Book #314 - Anasazi (Sense of Truth #2) by Emma Michaels - I liekd this one more than the first book. Plus? Pretty cover!
Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday - Crazy book titles, reading habits and book covers that make me swoon!
Spotlight On... Amanda J. Greene's Caressed by Moonlight - Amanda's book gets a new cover on it's rerelease! Sweet!

Okay. I'm going to crack open my Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1 (and there's a story about how I cut over half the book because I was unhappy with how my two halves weren't matching up) and WRITE!
Later, skaters!

I spent yesterday afternoon and evening babysitting my baby nephew Ryan. I love the kid but when he cries for 30 minutes straight because he's too tired to do anything else... not fun. Anyway. That's obviously why I didn't journal yesterday. You know, since I vowed that I would get back to blogging on a more regular basis. Sadly, I was tired by the time I got home. I went to bed. The end.

Okay. I have books. Books, books, books.
Book #311 - Cipher (Southern Arcana #4) by Moira Rogers - As usual, I'm all crazy fangirly about this series. Waffles! And Alpha werewolves! Awesome!
Teaser Tuesday - Werewolves, angels and ... actually, I don't know what the 3rd book is about. I've only read, like, 3 pages.

I'm going to go find the naughtiest book on my Kindle and read it. Later.

Do you guys see what happens when I don't have access to LJ for a few days? I lose my journal writing momentum and then days and days and DAYS pass without a journal. I even wrote a list up yesterday of things I wanted to get done while at work and update ye olde LJ was on it. Yet, it didn't get done. I did everything else on the list. Just not that.

I am horrible.

But now I'm going to get right back on that momentum horse and not let my slackerish tendencies control me. Because I'm strong like that.

Since we're talking about momentum and other scintillating things, I'm having a crisis with my Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1. I originally had great plans to add a bunch of stuff to the narrative to expand the time frame of the story and then link the new writing back up with what I wrote way back when. The thing is, the more I add to the story the less likely it looks like the original scenes will be able to merge with the updated timeline. It's just not going to work. I can see the main female character changing as I write it. She's growing in ways she wasn't able to in the shortened timeline I wrote originally. This is a good thing because the entire reason I decided to add narrative was to make her growth more realistic. Yet, now the growth she's experiencing makes her later actions out of character.

What a conundrum!

I think I'm going to cut the entire end of the book and just let this new story unfurl. Of course that'll mean that EWM#2 will have to be completely rewritten as well. *face palm* Still, it's better for the book and for the characters that it plays out this new way. I can handle some hardcore rewriting. Or just, writing.

Anyway. I have a lot of bookish stuff to post. You know, since I haven't been good at updating recently.
Book #294 - Earl of Darkness (Heirs of Kilronan Trilogy #1) by Lix Rickloff - Decent enough but the ending was so abrupt that I kept looking around waiting for the next bit of action.
Book #295 - Amaury's Hellion (Scanguards Vampires #2) by Tina Folsom - Tina Folsom can write some steamy vampire sex. For serious.
Book #296 - Warrior (Blades of the Rose #1) by Zoe Archer - I loved the way the author brought the landscape of Mongolia to life here. It was so vivid and bright.
Book #297 - Awaken Me Darkly (Alien Huntress #1) by Gena Showalter - Not the best book I've read by this author, but still entertaining. As a plus, there's great setup for the later books in this series.
Book #298 - Sons of Apollyon by G.A. Colin - Bloody, gory fun. With vampires! Sweet!
Teaser Tuesday (07/26/11) - Warriors, monsters and vampires. Lovely.
Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday (07/29/11) - Books I'm looking forward to, t-shirt slogans that represent me and one sexy, sexy back.
In My Mailbox (07/31/11) - A lot of fabulous free books!

Dude. How the hell is it almost August? I honestly didn't realize it until I typed the date in that last link. Whoa. Just, whoa.

Alright. I vow to be a better blogger and post more than once a week. Also, I might be relocating to Dreamwidth and crossposting those posts over to here. I don't know. I'm very torn about giving up on LJ as my main blogging place. I've been here for quite a while, you know. Quite.A.While.

I'm done.

Herein lies the post I wrote up on Monday.

Cole's been watching Naruto the last few days and it's kinda annoying me. I really don't remember it being so ... loud. And braying. God, I feel like I'm getting old when cartoons are starting to bug the fuck out of me. The loudness is especially annoying because I'm trying to finish up a scene in the EWM#1 and I really can't concentrate with it blaring behind me. You might be thinking "Well, Kelly. Send Cole out of your room and you won't have to listen to that damn show." You'd be correct. Yet, I'd rather bitch at the moment.

I'm pleased to announce that I finished reading the last of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books I own. It was an emotional journey, yet I did it.

I think I want to attempt to finish that EWM#1 scene one more time. Which means I have to babble about books for a minute...
Book #293 - Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood #8) by J.R. Ward - Outstanding worldbuilding, characters that don't quit and storylines that are revisited and expanded brilliantly... I'm in love with this entire series. LOVE!

That last BDB book was a 2 day book. 2 days of concentrated reading. It was lengthy. And fabulous. I'm tempted to get the next in the series but I keep reminding myself that I want to wait until it comes out in paperback so it'll fit on the shelf with the rest of the BDB books. I know. Awesome plan.

I'm done.

Two of my cousins and their respective husbands and girlfriends are in town. This means that the family gathered at Amb and Phil's house for dinner. There were drinks. I consumed a few. there was food. I ate well. There were many desserts. I did not share mine. My boy-cousin brought his new girlfriend. I imagine that meeting the entire family in one fell swoop is a frightening experience. We're loud. We tend to tell bawdy jokes. The jokes degenerate into downright dirty as the alcohol begins to flow.

Yeah. Scary.

I was going to make tonight an all night writing night but I don't think it's going to happen. As much as I want to, I'm exhausted at the moment. BECAUSE I MISSED MY NAP NOT BECAUSE I HAD A DELICIOUS BEVERAGE OR TWO. The good news is that I can bump my all-nighter over to Thursday night.

Speaking of writing, my girl-cousin had offered to do a read through for me on my Epic Werewolf Masterpiece. Due to the massive rewrite I'm subjecting it to it isn't quite ready for human consumption. In fact, it's something of a hot mess at the moment. I have faith that I'll whip it into something readable at some point but I wouldn't want to unnecessarily scar anyone by making them read an incoherent story. So, she's still planning on looking it over and I'm going to work my ass off to get it to a point where I don't mind someone reading it.

Okay. Books.
Book #287 - Damian's Oracle (War of Gods #1) by Lizzy Ford - I'm so pleased I found this author. She gives some good story, if you know what I mean.
Book #288 - Blameless (The Parasol Protectorate #3) by Gail Carriger - Alexia travels to Italy to find out answers and discovers the wonders of pesto along the way. Hilarious!
Teaser Tuesday (07/19/11) - Lots and lots of steampunk! With warriors! And pertness! It might sound weird, but it's true.

I'm skating the edge of tired now. The very thin edge. I'm off to kick my kid out of my bed so I can collapse.

I wasn't going to post this evening since I posted a couple of times early early this morning but I wrote after those posts and I'm excited that I have word countage to report. Yay!

Although I'm editing, I'm adding so much new narrative that it's changing the entire complexion of the story. In a good way, I hope. The original time line, from beginning to end, took place over the course of a month. I had to squeeze in way too much stuff and when I went back and reread it it wasn't believable that everything that was happening would happen over such a sort range of time. So I'm taking my girl out of the hero's bedroom (TEMPORARILY!) and giving her time to settle into her new life with a pack of werewolves. She's a mess. I couldn't justify her character changing from a girl who had been repeatedly abused to trusting those around her without reservation so quickly. Now she's getting the time to learn that not everyone she meets wants to hurt her. That said, I do get to throw a jealous female tiff that I had originally plotted back into the mix because now that my girl is not directly under the protection of the big, bad werewolf she's a little more vulnerable to petty hatred.

This excites me, guys!

I ended up adding 916 words today, putting my total at 109,118.

This is especially thrilling because I was doing some crazy sleeping today. I went to bed at 5:30 after dropping Heather and Hailey off at the airport, slept until 10-ish, got up and did some stuff (including a bit of writing) and took a nap from 2:30 to 5. I think I got more sleep staying up all night last night than I normally get. That amuses me.

I also read a book.
Book #278 - Katie's Hellion (Rhyn Trilogy #1) by Lizzy Ford - I was honestly surprised by how much I liked this book. I went into with no expectations and thought it was oodles of fun. OODLES!

I decided that I am going to the book signing tomorrow. After rereading the synopsis for book 1 of The Parasol Protectorate I really wanted to read the book. So, I'm going. I won't even mention how shitty I think it is to tell someone what type of books that can or can't buy.

Okay. I'm done.

It's the 3:30-ish check in!

I'm completely excited because I've hit that golden number that I was aiming for! Yay!

I'm excited! See! Excitement! With exclamation points! Lots of them!

Total pages edited: 86 of 269

As you can see, they manuscript is getting longer. I do figure that I'll cut out some of the later stuff when I'm going through it simply because with the changes and additions I'm making now, the later stuff won't fit into the timeline quite right.

So, yeah.
The Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1 is currently standing at 108,134 words.

I'm off to shower now so I don't have epic bedhead when I go to sleep later.

I'm always thinking ahead, aren't I?

And now it's time for my 1:30-ish check in.

I've edited 4 more pages (which doesn't sound like a lot) but it's all new material since I cut out a huge chunk of one chapter.

The numbers stand thusly:

Edited: 83 of 265 pages.

I'm still going strong!

Okay, here's my 11:30-ish check in.

I haven't written any new words exactly but I've edited about 15 pages of the EWM#1. Part of the editing involves cutting a big section of the story and rewriting it altogether. This is one of those sections that I'd been dreading getting into so this feels like a huge win.

So, this first word metric sucks because it's a big, fat ZERO but...

However, the editing portion is going much better than I expected.
Total pages edited: 79 of 265
Obviously, a bunch of those pages weren't done tonight but that's the overall total.

Okay. I'll be back later with more fun progress bars!

I'm having a moment here. In a good way. I have to take Heather and Hailey to the airport at the ungodly hour of 4:30 tomorrow morning so I decided that I'm not going to sleep tonight. No big, right? I have Wednesday off, I'll sleep then.

Since I'm not sleeping tonight, I decided to put my writing plan into action. I'm going to challenge myself to write a minimum of 2000 new words on any one of the stories I have currently languishing plus do some editing on the Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1. In theory, I want to finish my current pass on editing so I can do a full read-through on the EWM#1 to check for inconsistencies. However, since I'm not home at the moment I don't have any hard numbers on how many pages I have left to edit. I think it's a lot (around 100 in Word) so I don't want to give myself an insane goal and then get nowhere near completing it unless I can clone myself.

Am I right?

So. 2K new words and a good chunk of editing on the EWM#1. Totally doable!

I'm going to try to do mini updates throughout the evening to keep myself on track. Just word counts and amusing typos. Be warned.

Well, I also have some bookish stuff that I need to get off my chest. Not literally.
Book #276 - This Totally Bites! (Poison Apple) by Ruth Ames - The alst of Hailey's books that I appropriated. This one's about vampires! Awesome!
Book #277 - This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress #5) by Jeaniene Frost - I LOVE this series. Jeaniene Frost has given me the perfect vampiric couple and she makes them all wickedly feral and AWESOME! *love*
Teaser Tuesday (07/12/11) - With a selection from Cat & Bones! Except that I've now finished that book. Good thing I have a back-up book I'm reading! Half-Demons! Yay!

I have a book signing for Gail Carriger (The Parasol Protectorate series) on tap for this coming Thursday and I'm waffling on whether or not I should go. The reason is kinda lame - basically, she wrote an article a while back telling people that they should buy her books as physical books over ebooks because ebook purchases won't help her get on the New York Times bestseller list. My knee jerk reaction to being told that I NEED to buy a book in a certain format is to give someone the finger. I buy ebooks because they're both convenient and I like reading them. Yes, I love my physical books as well. I have a lot of physical books. Telling me I need to do something a certain way rubs me wrong.

So, yeah. I'm totally waffling over whether or not I should go. Still.

And I'm done. I guess I'll read a little more before I have to scoot home for the day.

Ever since Cole and I went to see Transformers 3 I've had this hankering to rewatch the first two movies. I just finished the 2nd and it's a lot better than I remember it being. The first is still my favorite, though. Megan Fox isn't the best actress but at least she didn't ruin the movie for me. Unlike Edward Furlong in Terminator 2. I love the Terminator movies but I can't watch the 2nd one without cringing. In fact, I don't watch the 2nd one at all. Which is kinda a bummer because it's a good movie. I just can't stand Edward Furlong's acting.

And I really got off subject there, didn't I?

Today, I had a fun-filled day of doing boring chores. I returned some books to the library, got gas, went to Target to buy a new bathroom rug, vacuumed, cleaned the carpet and vacuumed again. I know. Somebody stop me. It's getting way too intense in here.

I was having a writing thought earlier. I want to finish up the Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #2. I think I have about 25K more words to write. Maybe. The problem is that I'm doing a major overhaul to the Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1 and the changes there could end up having a big impact on EWM#2. So, do I finish writing EWM#2 knowing that I'm in for some major editing on the back end or do I hold off until I finish editing EWM#1? Either way, I want to get myself back into the groove of writing every day. Or editing, as the case may be. I'm going to set up my word goals and metrics bars and everything. FUN!

I just have to figure out what order I need to do things in.

Alright. I have work tomorrow. Yay. I wish my chair was more comfortable at work. Sometimes my butt falls asleep. It's not fun.

I feel like I've been a terrible journal writer lately. Which is funny because my last few posts have actually had some substance as opposed to be just rambling about books. As I'm so fond of doing. But I really do try to post every day and it seems like lately that's fallen by the wayside a bit.

One of the reasons I originally started posting on a regular basis (besides the fact that I have this unlimited capacity to write and write and write and write about things that no one wants to hear about) was so I had a record of these fun, sometimes interesting, often bizarre things that happen to me. I have a terrible memory. TERRIBLE. When I hang out with [ profile] malkovich03 she'll say stuff like "Do you remember that time we went to dinner and you ordered the pasta and then we both had wine and your was white and mine was red and these guys came over and one of them was an alien and he wanted to take you away to the mothership and show you the galaxy?" You'd think I'd remember an alien wanting to take me away to the mothership BUT I DON'T. Much less what I ate that time it happened. I swear, if my brain had any more holes in it I'd be a walking medical miracle. Imagine what I'd be like if I were all drug addled and drank like a fish. I know. I'm scared now too. I'm sorry to put that picture in your head. So very, very sorry.

Anyway. I feel like I've been doing a poor job keeping up with my lj lately. I don't exactly know if that's going to change in the near future but I'm not going to let myself stress out over it too badly. Because I've got plenty of other things to stress over. Right?

Okay. Books. I have some.
Book #273 - Midnight Howl (Poison Apple) by Claire Hutton - The 2nd of Hailey's books that I filched. This one with werewolves!
Book #274 - Space Junque (Apocalypto #1) by LK Rigel - I barely knew what I was reading through half of this book and I STILL ended up picking up the next in the series. That must say something.
Book #275 - Never a Bride by Amelia Grey - Another quick little historical romance. nothing mind bending or earth shattering about it but it was fun.
In My Mailbox (07/10/11) - I found out this weekend that Goodreads has a section for free ebooks they offer. I downloaded a metric ton right after posting this post. Meaning that next week's post is going to be HUGE!

I'm a little hungry. Should I eat? I must think.

I feel craptastic at the moment. In fact, I fear that this blinding headache that has me in its clutches has killed off a large-ish portion of my brain cells. Fortunately for you all, they're the cells that handle the day to day werewolf thoughts. Which means that my epic werewolf masterpiece #1 will forever languish only half edited. I'm just kidding about that. I'm totally going to finish editing that one day. Totally.

Is it too early to start thinking about what I want to write about for NaNoWriMo? Little bit? Okay, I'll hold off.

Head still hurting.

I had an actual topic I was planning on babbling about today. It involves me, an author and coffee. But now it seems like too much work to sort through my thoughts. Plus, half the thoughts were eaten in the Great Headache of 2011. Fuck you, pain. I hate you. You ruined today's journal entry.

I don't even have any bookish things to report on. Because of my head.

I'd go to bed but it's only 8:30 and there's that whole fireworks thing going on later. Then again, sleep sounds so deliciously decadent at the moment.

I should have taken a longer nap earlier. I knew it. I knew I woke up too early. *pouts in a most unbecoming manner*

I'm going away now.

Cole and Hailey were fighting earlier. I yelled. It didn't phase them. The one bright spot in all this is that this time they were fighting over a full box of crackers instead of an empty one. Sometimes I envision their inner selves as two junkyard dogs battling over roadkill scraps on top of a pile of rusty kitchen appliances.

It's a surprisingly accurate picture.

In news that doesn't involve me clawing the walls... no, wait. I don't have any news like that.

I've been doing some serious mental gymnastics over my epic werewolf masterpiece #1. The more I think about ti and look it over, the more little tweaks I can see I need to make. On one hand, I don't want to over think it and end up with a story that no one but me understands. On the other hand, I want to do the best I can for these characters and tell the story they deserve.

And in bookish news:
Book #259 - Crescendo (Hush, Hush #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick - This book was weird because I hated the way the main female character acted but I ended up really liking the book anyway.
Book #260 - Raziel (The Fallen #1) by Kristina Douglas - Another one where I didn't love the entire book and then all of a sudden I did. It's bizarre, man. Bizarre.
Book Blogger Hop, Follow Friday & Tagalong Friday - Things that make me keep reading and an epic ode to Resident Evil. Not really. I just make a teeny, tiny mention about how I might sorta, kinda like zombies and I think Alice is cool. Also, pictures of half naked men. Because I like those.

I am done!

Wow. Where did the day go? I don't think I did a damn thing today except laundry. Wait. I did take the dogs for a walk. Or 5. I guess that answers my question. I washed clothes and walked the dogs repeatedly. Nice.

Last night I cracked open the Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1 and did some editing. Going back and rereading the earlier passages that I fixed have left me loving this story even more. It's really hard when you're in the middle of writing something to know if it really makes sense or sounds good. I need to take a big step back and let things percolate for a bit so when I go back to it I can look at it with fresh eyes.

Most of the original changes I made were focused on character development. Namely, my main male character was too nice. Considering he's the second in command of a large pack of werewolves, too nice just didn't work. I needed him to be able to make hard decisions and be an asshole for the good of the pack. So I changed him. I also tweaked my main female character a bit to make her less aware of how much she doesn't fit in with the werewolves that have grown up in a normal pack. She's clueless about what constitutes normal behavior and I needed her to be unable to see that the way she acts is out of the norm.

As aggravating as this story is at times (OMG, I don't know what I'm doing on this editing front and it makes every change I make feel like the end of the world. Or just a category 5 twister.), I love it to pieces. I have this draft marked up all to hell and back on changes I want to make and sentences I need to tweak and I'm constantly terrified that I'll take something out that's crucial to the plot but I'm so terribly proud of this story.

I mean, I wrote a book.

Anyway. Since I'm already talking about books...
Book #255 - Highborn (Dark Redemption #1) by Yvonne Navarro - I loved this book. It was dark and wonderful and it hit the spot.
Book #256 - The Inventor (Fantasies of New Europa #1) by Morgan Karpiel - I wanted something in the sexy steampunk vein. This book is both sexy and steampunky. Win/win.
In My Mailbox - I've set a goal for myself to get down to 210 TBR books by the next IMM. 210 or lower. I can totally do this.

Since I have more sexy steampunk goodness waiting for me, I must away!

I don't have a whole lot to say today except that I cracked open my Epic Werewolf Masterpiece this afternoon and did some serious editing on it.

By the numbers:
I closed out my original manuscript (before any re-writes or editing) at: 104,354 words.
As of today I'm at: 106,106
This includes nearly 3K words cut (rewritten and then expanded) on big scenes (which are currently sitting happily in my "Outtakes" file) plus the little cuts I made that I didn't save.

The big scene re-writes are making such a huge difference plot-wise. Seriously, I'm so much happier with the characterizations and overall mythology of the book now. My main characters have so much more flow that I'm absolutely thrilled with them.

So, there you have it. I wrote today.

And now I'm done.

Dudes. Day two of my Monday-Friday work week and I'm like this: O.o Now, it's not like my boss lady and I talk incessantly to one another or anything normally but it is nice to have someone else in the office to bounce ideas off of. This week? It's just me. ME. And I'm nearly at the point of talking to myself on day 2. What am I going to be like by the end of the week?

O.o O.O o.O

I even brought a flash drive with all my WIP stories on it but my computer won't recognize the drive so that did NOTHING for me. Arrgh. And I had a fucking epiphany this morning on the way to work. I rewrote a big chunk of my Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1 in my head (which is probably much more distracting than talking on a cell phone, btw) and I couldn't get it down anywhere. I mean, I guess I could have handwritten it but... well, now I just feel silly for not thinking of that earlier.

I went grocery shopping with Cole after my after-work nap and I'm fully ready for the ladies coming over this weekend. There's going to be a whole Mexican food thing going on. I don't think I can screw up this menu too badly so I'm feeling pretty good right now. I have a hair appointment tomorrow. I'm totally ready for my epic hot pink scalp, btw. Because it always turns epically hot pink after I get it done. Yeah.

Okay. Books.
Book #208 - Tumbler by Brand Gamblin - A fun, fun sci-fi book. I haven't read a non-romance sci-fi in a while and this one was the perfect re-introduction to that genre.
Book #209 - Goddess with a Blade by Lauren Dane - Good GAWD! Lauren Dane can write some fabulous characters. I am seriously so enamoured of this book right now. I just have so many things I enjoyed with it.
Book #210 - Save My Soul (Preternaturals #2) by Zoe Winters - Another really captivating book. This time I got a sexy incubus and a 50 year old curse. Love!
Teaser Tuesday - Fae, incubi and the Goddess-blessed. I find it amusing that of those 3 books I've already finished and reviewed two of them. :)

Okay. I'm done.

This weekend wasn't long enough. I'm used to working on Saturdays (more or less) but I'm also used to having both Sunday and Monday off. This week, due to my boss being on vacation, I'm working Monday thru Friday. That means I had one measly day this weekend to get my lazy on. *sigh* Isn't that just the saddest thing you've ever heard?

It almost makes me want to cry. Not really.

Yeah. So I did all my grocery shopping, planned out what I'm making for next Saturday's Epic Weekend with the Friends, went to Cole's football game and did laundry. My life is so glamorous sometimes it hurts. Physically. Like a sharp shooting pain in my lower back.

Right, I have this book thing I like to do...
Book #206 - Sleepy Hollow Dreams by Taryn Kincaid - So I asked Twitter for some dirty book recommendations last night and author Taryn Kincaid tweeted me back this one. It was just the right amount of naughty for what I had in mind. Thank you, Taryn Kincaid!
Book #207 - A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark #2) by Kresley Cole - Vampires and Werewolves make for a hot combination. Also, I totally love the world created here. It's just... whoa.

I guess I should do that thing where I'm like a responsible adult and go to bed at a normal-ish time so that I can go to work tomorrow. Or something.

I did big house cleaning today. Okay, not really big so much as normal sized house cleaning. But the house is now cleeeeeaaaaan.

The downside of this is that I'll have to do it all over again next week because [ profile] malkovich03, [ profile] kimbrchick and [ profile] jenah and her son will be popping in for a visit on Saturday. This is the first Saturday I've had off since I started back in February so we're taking advantage of it.

In other news, I'm once again working on editing the Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1. The changes I'm making will make the story tighter as a whole, which makes me very happy, but I'm not really good at the whole editing thing. I get distracted by reading the story and forget to edit. It's tragic.

Okay. A little book update today.
Book #204 - Raven's Kiss (Raven Grace) by Toni LoTempio - Surprisingly steamy considering the two main characters don't hook up until the end of the book.

And that's all from me.

I woke up this morning to the sound of rain. Again. It tapered off fairly quickly and we ended up having a nice (if somewhat cold) day but this rain is throwing me off my game. Not that I really have a game or anything. I'm just saying that... I don't really know what I'm saying.

Anyway. I ran some uninteresting but needed errands this morning (dropping a book off at the library, exchanging a pair of shorts I bought for Cole) and then I vegged. Some days I honestly don't know how the entire day can go by without me doing anything.

I didn't even review any books today. I finished one and started another. I drafted the templates for the next 4 or 5 books I'm planning on reading. But I haven't written up the actual review yet.

However, I did crack open the Epic Werewolf Masterpiece #1 because I had a total light bulb moment about one of the small details that have been bugging me. My light bulb totally works, too. It's like my brain has been sifting through all this information until it came up with the one thing that will tie all these other little things together. Brilliant! Way to go, brain!

Yes, I do impress myself. Often. Thank you for noticing.

And now I'm done.
